Georgiana EwingGeorgianna Ewing is a native West Texan raised in Abilene.

After raising their son Harper in the Dallas area, she and husband Jack have settled in the Hill Country. Her bold use of color, whimsey and childlike distortion express a sense of wonder and joy at the world in which she lives.

She has had one-woman shows at Studio 98 in Dallas, The Center for Contemporary Art in Abilene and The Williams Gallery in Cuchara, Colorado. Her current series of paintings of home interiors connect to her childhood play. As a small girl she created homes for her dolls out of shoe boxes, fabric scraps and anything she could find that she could transform. Now she creates her imaginary worlds on canvas. The paintings are filled with images of overstuffed chairs, comfy couches, bright rugs and sunny windows. The imaginary rooms invite the viewer to enter her world of playfulness and color.
