COSAS is the Spanish word for “things” and is also used as a term of endearment.  It is with this in mind that owners, Bob and Amy Niederhauser, personally select the treasures that make up COSAS. Everything is hand selected directly from the artists in their homes. Bob and Amy travel extensively throughout Mexico and Latin America and bring in only the highest quality pieces. Many featured folk art pieces are crafted by one of several of the Great Masters of Mexican Folk Art. Their close relationships with the artists result in one of a kind creations never before seen.

The Niederhausers work with over 200 folk artists throughout the region and COSAS collection is among the broadest  and most unique in the United States.

COSAS also carries a wide array of hand woven and embroidered textiles from Mexico, Guatemala, Peru and Ecuador. Pieces include huipiles, blouses and other wearable cloth as well as a beautiful selection of table runners, table cloths and other home accessories.

Paintings and limited edition etchings are also featured and include renowned artists from both Mexico and the US. Artists include Javier Arevalo, Alejandro Colunga, Ismael Vargas, Mario Martin Del Campo, Maximino Javier, Leonel Maciel, José Luis Cuevas, Roberto Gol De Montes, Gustavo Rivera, Antonio Ramirez, Alfredo Zalce, Francisco Ochoa, Raymundo Gonzalez, among others.
